Moustaches at the ready: we're getting involved with The Movember Foundation!

We love a bit of philanthropy here at The Motorsport Collective. Which is why we've decided to team up with The Movember Foundation to help raise funds and awareness for mens health issues around the world.

Known best for their brilliant campaign throughout the month of November - where men are encouraged to grow their best moustache and raise money in the process - it's not just all fun for the boys. The Foundation encourages both genders to help them meet their goals, so 'Mo Bros' and 'Mo Sistas' alike can take part in the action - with a wide range of fundraising ideas.

Looking good, fellas.

Looking good, fellas.

But here at The Motorsport Collective - as you probably already know - we like to do things a bit differently. And knowing how well-connected our wonderful members are, we're getting them to donate the best motorsport-related item or experience they can get their hands on!

Now, it's not a competition among our members - big or small, we're happy with all donations! - but we know from experience that working in any area of the motorsport industry gives you access to a range of people and things that motorsport fans would give their right arm to get hold of.

Worst. Motorsport. Giveaway. Ever.

Worst. Motorsport. Giveaway. Ever.

And no, we don't mean old race fuel barrels. (WTF?)

We've asked our members to get creative and see what they can come up with. We've given them a few pointers to get the ideas flowing: a signed t-shirt or cap? A replica helmet? A racesuit from someone who doesn't sweat too much...? Passenger lap ride at a test day? Pair of tickets to an event? A bit of hospitality at a race? A meet and greet with a superstar racer?

We're making sure our event guest speakers bring something along to the party, too - we can't wait to see what turns up to our first event with the Monster Energy marketing guys. (Valentino Rossi wrapped in a bow? No? OK... *awkward*)

Either way, whatever gets donated will be auctioned throughout the year on our eBay page and all of the proceeds go straight to The Movember Foundation. We had a quick rummage in our old team kit bags and came up with a few items to kick things off - and we're tapping up our old colleagues, too, to see what else we can snaffle.

We love what the guys at Movember are up to - and we know we can all help to make a difference to the many causes they work with - including support for men living with prostate and testicular cancer, providing mental health related services and encouraging men around the world to stay fit and healthy

We'll keep you up to date on how else we're getting involved with Movember in 2016, including an opportunity to see inside their awesome HQ building at a members-only event with a special guest speaker.
